LaRiMiT implements the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to select the most appropriate landslide risk mitigation measures based on user inputs and expert rating of the mitigation measures. See the LaRiMiT user guide for details.
Input case-specific information on the description of the movement and the relevant physical conditions on the site
If the landslide is triggered by a complex mechanism, select the predominant type of movement of that landslide
If more than one type of material is present, select the predominant type.
Depth below ground surface (m)
Prioritise the following variables on a relative scale from 1-10 (1: not relevant and 10: extremely relevant).
Effectivity being the degree to which the measure is successful in producing the desired result.
Consider aspects like suitability, ecological footprint, environmental impact, adaptability to climate change, aesthetic quality.
Consider aspects like time required for planning and implementation.
Consider aspects like cost of design, cost of construction, cost of maintenance, cost of management.
